denim days

Today I decided to wear a very denim inspired outfit, teaming my denim coloured skater dress with my denim shirt and denim coloured shoes. To add an edge I wore my spiky gold necklace and bangles. I also wore my favourite black cat-eye sunnies and put my hair into a messy side fish-tail plait. It was one of those days that was warm but became suddenly very chilly so I was a little puzzled as to what I should wear. Dare I admit that everything I am wearing here is from Newlook...maybe I'll just keep it a secret.

It is a month and a half until I go away on holiday to the south of France, so at the moment I am attempting to build up some more summer clothes. I am so excited to get away and enjoy some sunshine. We do not get enough in this part of the world. I think I am suffering from a vitamin D deficiency. It'll be lovely to go to the beach and pool and drink cocktails and just relax.

A little catch up? Well as you know, I have been back from uni for a few weeks now and have just been doing home-y things like meeting with friends, going for walks, reading and making new recipes for dinner. Last night, me and two of my friends went to a park near the seafront to watch an out door showing of Glastonbury. It was a nice evening but very Eastbourne-y. That's that only way I can describe it. Here is a picture I took last night that I thought was pretty cool.

What have you been up to? Are you going anywhere exciting on holiday this year?

P.S Below is one of the bands we were listening to last night that I really liked and You Tubed when I got home -

so I started uni...

(taken from Google - my uni campus)

So on Sunday I moved to my University, The University of Gloucestershire. I guess I could say yesterday rather than Sunday but it feels like I have been here for weeks, not hours or 1 day. I have had no time to take any photos, nor do I have anything exciting to share with you all so this is purely to let you all know that I am alive! I have moved to a large town in the west of England called Cheltenham which is a good few hours from my family, friends and where I grew up. I would be lying if I said it has been easy. I have already found it so hard but there are elements that I really enjoy and a lot of things I am looking forward to! I have my own (rather large) room and bathroom, but share the kitchen with 5 others. I have met so many new people, forgotten all of their names and have asked 'what course are you studying?' possibly 100 times. What, it's a good conversation starter?!

Anyway, I will take some photos of the area, of the shops, fashion and hopefully a few sneaky outfit posts to share with you all. Also - I cannot wait to catch up on your blogs and all the things I must have missed!

i'm off to see the planes...

Ever since I can remember, every Summer, my local town holds a big air show called Airbourne. It features planes from the Second World War doing tricks in the sky along the promenade. Thousands flocks to the seafront to watch, some coming from all over England! I haven't been every single year for various reasons, but we headed down their today and it was as magnificent as I always remembered.

[Denim Dress - Newlook, Blouse - Ann Harvey, Leggings - ASOS, Pumps - Newlook, Sunglasses - Dorothy Perkins, Bag - Newlook]
This was the outfit I wore to Airbourne. You may be thinking that you recognise my denim dress. Yes, it featured similarly in my last post but remember two things, one, that was nearly two weeks ago and two, it is the first time I have worn it since! I layered it over a mint green blouse, leggings, pumps and tote. My sunglasses are also new. I bought them for £2 at Dorothy Perkins in the sale (similar ones here).

Below, are some pictures of the beautiful planes on show this weekend. I'm such an ignorant girl when it comes to planes so I can't tell you what any of them are...other than planes of course. My favourite were the two red planes that left such a beautiful smoke trail in the sunshine. They literally danced in the sky and came unbelievably close, close enough to see the wing walkers (if you look close enough). The weather was unusually great and the noise from the jets, as loud as always!

Do you have any similar annual shows, where you live?

Let me know your thought on my pictures as well as my outfit!

Thank you for reading,
