Brighton's Laines!

Yesterday, I went shopping in Brighton with my mum. For those who don't know much about Brighton, it is renowned for its 'Laines'. Away from the main shopping centre, many narrow, quaint and quirky Laines span out creating a maze of unique and small boutiques, cosy coffee houses, lively bars and restaurants and highend shopping in places such as Monsoon, Gap, French Connection, Whistles, Kath Kidston and Reiss. However before we ventured down to them, we hit the high-street and in Newlook I found the cutest pair of ballet pumps and also an amazing bag that will carry me straight through to Autumn.
Newlook £7.99

Close up!

After the high-street we took a trip down the Laines and visited Hotel Chocolat (yum), Paperchase but best of all, one of my favourite shops Lush. The chain of Lush stores across the country sell a large range of handmade organic cosmetics that promote strong ethics in fair trade, testing on animals (against of course!) and are very environmentally friendly. I splurged ever so slightly and bought a lip scrub that is peppermint chocolate flavour...yes flavour. After massaging into my lips, I was then instructed by an enthusiastic sales assistant to lick the sugary exfoliator off. It was sweet and left my lips soft and tingly. It is apparently one of the only edible lip scrubs in the cosmetic family and the only one they sell.

Lush £4.95

Lush £4.95

Lush £2.95/100g -  I bought 150g??
Then I bought a soap made from sandstone that is used to soften the skin and illimante cellulite - aparently an old trick used by brizillian women.

Lush £5
Above is a picture of my new foot exfoliator! It is supposed to smooth the soles and leave your feet soft, refreshed and revitalised.
Lush £4.95
Lush now do bars of shampoo that last you 3 times the amount a normal bottle lasts. This was is to revive hair and clense hair that is prone to getting greasy. Because I have started washing my hair every other day, I thought this was appropriate.

Thanks for reading!
I'm hoping to a street style session with my camera down in the Laines so you can all see the quirky style of brighton and it's inhabitants.

Let me know what you think of the items I bought and what you're favourite shops are to shop in and why!?

I Wanna BAG myself a beauty.

Me in Australia, Summer 2009
Sydney City at night!
Me and my little brother :)
Such an iconic Australian image!
Okay so it is 9 weeks today till I go away to Australia! I am so excited...shortly followed by a hint of nerves. I decided to put up a few pictures from my last trip with my family a few summers back. I feel this is justified as my blog isn't just completely about fashion, it's personal to me. Anyway, I want to get my packing perfect, so whilst planning my hand luggage content I suddenly realised that I need a bag to hold all these strange and purposefully chosen items. Naturally I went straight to ASOS and found the two cutest rucksacks that I think should be perfect. Problem is, I have no idea which to choose. At only £36, I considered buying both and then realised I should probably save as much for my trip as possible so, valuing my fellow bloggers opinions extremely highly, which do you prefer? or maybe you hate both!?

ASOS £35

ASOS £35

So which bag do you guys like the best?? Maybe you think both are hideous!? Let me know what you think?

Thank-you for reading,

Product Review - New V05 Range!!

Okay, so I have been meaning to do some products reviews, although I am never too sure what to test. But last week, as I was flicking through my already devoured Cosmo magazine, I came across a tester. VO5's new Haircare range has been highly advertised throughout the UK recently, from bus-stops, to billboards to TV adverts. So I decided this may be a good chance for a post on my blog.

The next morning after removing product build up with green tea from my hair, I tried the new 'VO5, Nourish me truly' range. On the back of the sample packaging, it informs me that it is made with Cashmere Keratin extracts to 'strengthen & repair, restore & soften and leaves hair truly luxurious to the touch'.  Always sceptical, because practically every haircare range makes such promises, I was shocked to find that it actually worked!! From the moment the shampoo touched my hands, I could feel the cashmere quality. The smell hit me nearly as quickly as the silky texture, a fresh grape aroma with hints of apricot and jojoba oil. The product sample covered my hair and roots fully, as did the conditioner in replenishing the ends to middle of my hair. The sweet smell stayed with me all day, and kept my hair free from tangles, well replenished and healthy; disguising the fact that I seriously need my haircut!! The bottles are cute, modern and a good value for money. I have already ordered myself a bottle of each to test its long term benefits.

At only £1.99 a bottle from most popular retailers, I believe this is definitely a new product worth trying! I am not 100% sure whether it is available to people overseas. From researching on the VO5 website, it is NOT distributed to USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa or New Zealand but may possible been available from other retailers.

Let me know what you think of my review! Whether you have tried this product or have a different opinion on it or...
if you have any products you would like me to test and review for you!??

Thank-you for reading!!

Life's a daisy

Okay, so it's been a while since I last posted. With college exams and no computer, blogging has been pretty difficult but I am now back and have the summer at my fingertips, so no more excuses.

A week ago, amazingly, the sun came out and the weather was beautiful. The sun was shinning through the leaves on our oak tree, the washing was on the line and the drinks were flowing. Naturally I put on one of my favourite summer dresses. A dress I have actually already posted on here but teamed with a different look. A floral dress, white cardigan, dangley earrings and my hair in a messy side bun and french plait. I was also wearing my favourite perfume 'Daisy' by Marc Jacobs.

However, as you may have noticed, I stupidly didn't get a picture of my full outfit. I thought about re-creating the look but it didn't feel quite right. Anyway, this post was less about my outfit and more about my beautiful perfume 'Daisy' by Marc Jacobs. After receiving it for my 18th birthday, it has now taken over 'Fantasy' by Britney Spears and become the perfume that people recognise me by. It has an intense floral smell, but not over powering, its sweet but not in a cheap perfume kind of way. I will wear it throughout the seasons, however strangely this year I am having two Springs, one summer and a winter. Excitingly, I booked my flight to Sydney Australia! I head out in September for 2-3 months travelling!

I'd love to know what your favourite perfume is, or the perfume you are dying to buy??? Let me know by leaving me a comment!!
