Dorothy Perkins Drought!

On my last post, after raving about ASOS, I asked what shops people were currently obsessed with. One of my responses mentioned Dorothy Perkins and I couldn't believe how long I had neglected this amazing shop. It was always one of my favourites but somehow - in the stress of college and other silly things- I must of not entered my local DP's or online for 6 months minimum. Naturally I decided to check it out online and found the cutest summer outfit. As mentioned in some of my last posts, I am completely skint. I have no money, no job and nothing currently on my horizon other than more expenses, but a girl can still dream. Therefore, when I do find a job and start saving money (excluding the ASOS dress in the post below) this will be the first outfit I purchase. If I am lucky enough to buy it, I will keep my make up simple (just a bit of eyeliner, mascara and pearl lip balm) and wear my hair in a messy plait.
£20 Dorothy Perkins

I love these shoes. They are cool both in their appearance and for breezing about in the hot summer weather. Casual and stylish - they will go with so many of my day dresses and also can be worn with a smart dress in the evening.

£36 Dorothy Perkins

This dress, as previously mentioned is so cute. I have red hair and usually avoid pink but have found that with my porcelain skin tone, coral can look really nice. Good- bye greens and blues.

£8 Dorothy Perkins

These sunglasses are amazing. They are timeless, cheap and perfect for Summer - I break on average a two pairs a summer!
£25 Dorothy Perkins
This bag, I think, may be my favourite item. It is so summery and reminds me of the bags my mum used to take on our summer holidays to Europe. Back then I detested them and preferred the company of my fluorescent ''bumbag'' where my change and tiny stuffed tortoise was kept. Now I am 18 and have obviously grown out of such things. However, if you're wondering what a ''tiny stuffed tortoise'' looks like then scroll down.
Anyway, let me know what you think of this outfit (or tortoise) and what you are excited to wear this fast approaching summer. Can't wait to hear what you guys have to say!!

Re your comment on my blog: I personally love wearing wedges with just about anything under the sun. I'm no a big heel fan (too uncomfortable for my liking) so I usually wear wedges with the exact same things one would usually wear heels with.

Oh you like Jodi Picoult too? I really adore her books, almost 'devour' them ;) Her stories are so touching and true, always so wonderful stories telling about real moral problems people can have. And I think she's one of the few authors who writes stories you can learn something from if you read them. That's what should happen while reading a book. xx Nini

That would be a super cute outfit! I love Dorothy Perkins at the moment. It has every style that I like and it's a bit more affordable than some other high street stores like Topshop.x

Oh yeah, 19 minutes, read it too and I also really liked Change of hearts. I didin't even read all of her books, but I'm reading one after the other ;) I know, it's the same with me, her topics and caracters with their stories are so strong and I'm always wondering how someone can endure something like that and is able fight like that! greetings Nini
