Burberry Collection 2012

Trying to pick my favourite Fashion house or designer is always difficult. However when it comes to Designer, in the last few years, I have always had a fascination with Burberry and Christopher Baileys creations. When I was younger I used to immediately think of those fake 'Chavy' looking caps and wonder how this is fashion?! However, as I have grown up, subscribed to Vogue and actually seen the things they sell my opinion has somewhat changed. No, I still hate those hats. I do now appreciate the beautiful bags and clothing they sell. It all has such a timeless and luxurious quality. Although some would disagree, I always feel that Burberry is wearable and doesn't exude of costume design in the same way as the house Alexander Mcqueen. Don't get me wrong, I love those beautiful, couture style dresses but I would have nowhere to wear them even if I did have the money to buy one.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces I saw on Burberry's Facebook page, you may have already seen them but I wanted to share with those who haven't.

I love the beautiful, deep colours used. The way they almost challenge the conventions of Spring and Summer but are still reminiscent of these seasons in style. The bags in particular feel laid back, casual and new - exactly the kind of bag that will filter through to high-street fashion and will be on every woman's shoulder between the ages of 14-40. We all LOVE those bags that we can chuck all our make-up into, our sunnies, maybe a cardigan in case it gets cold and all the other strange stuff we seem to accumulate for that 'just in case moment'. Just me?

I chose this photo because it just transcends Burberry to me. It is the subtle changes in design that keep it recognisable, current and so brilliantly classic.

Thank-you for reading,

Such a fashionable Christmas.

My tree is pretty fashionable this year. We got most of its accessories from John Lewis and the beautiful flowers from Fortnum and Mason - pretty house hold names here in England. So yes, apparently my tree can afford to dress in designer but not me. Our recently decorated living room is cream, gold and a wine red with a splash of brown leather sofas. My mum artistically coordinated our tree with the room and I think it looks amazing. Above are a few snaps of it, in all its Christmasy Glory.

What is your colour theme this year? Is your tree out doing you on the Fashion scene? Let me know what you think of my images and would be great for you to show me your beautifully decorated houses.

Merry Christmas!

My obsession Badgley Mischka...

Hey guys! I can't believe I haven't posted in so long. I feel awful for neglecting my blog and followers but I have finally found something to write about that fills me with excitement and allows me to make some time. Since I last blogged I have discovered the delights of Badgley and Mischka an American fashion label. I don't know if you have heard about them before? They are two designers, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, who design 40's affluent inspired, glamour wear. I love their style, the detail and their approach to casual clothes, no approach. They stormed New York Fashion week were Badgley said "The clothes in that movie could have stepped off the screen and onto our runway,". Me? I love glamorous clothes. I rarelly do the whole casual thing. If I had the money...and the figure, I would live in these clothes. Also, the great thing about them is they also do Bridal wear! The dresses are so beautiful, exactly the kind of thing I would wear. Anyway, I couldn't paste any photos in to show you there latest collections but here is the website - http://www.badgleymischka.com/

Feel free to check it and let me know what you think!!

Mixing denim! LOVE it or LEAVE it?

When I think about mixing denim, 90's quickly springs to mind. At first I cringed at the thought but then, as most shocking new things in fashion, I grew to love it and then... to wear it! I haven't quite managed to take my mixed denim look outdoors just yet but I'm working on it.

Whether you love it or would prefer to leave it, I am sure we can all agree on the fact when done wrong(an easy mistake) it is a ''let the ground open up and swallow me'' kind of embarrassing! [as shown below]
(I do not own this image)
However, then we have Chloe on runway do it totally right (below). Its brave, bold and if done well - an amazing look for almost any season.

But I wanna know what you guys think of it? Do you LOVE it or would you rather LEAVE it?
